Course 1 · on Microsoft 365 Copilot

The Governed Workflow, on Microsoft 365 Copilot

Most Calgary head offices already pay for Microsoft 365 Copilot and most of it goes unused. This is the flagship course run entirely inside the Microsoft tools your team opens every morning: Copilot in Excel for the spreadsheet work, Copilot in Word and Outlook for the narrative and the emails, with your data staying inside your own tenant.

Half day · 2.5 hours · up to 20 · your office in Calgary or online anywhere in Canada · $4,500

Why this tool

The argument IT already made for Copilot is that the data never leaves the company. That makes it the easiest tool to bring your own files to, and the course is built to take advantage of it.

In the room

The same course, on the tool you have.

  • The shared example, an AP sub-ledger to GL reconciliation, run with Copilot in Excel: the pivot and the tie stay as Excel logic, Copilot drafts the explanations and the approval email in Outlook.
  • Each person's own process on their own file, in Excel or Word, on the seven-line card.
  • A Copilot agent or notebook set up per process so the card is the standing instruction and next month is one click.
  • The control layer: what is safe inside the tenant, what still needs a named approval, and how the log works in Microsoft 365.

Copilot's Excel features move fast. We test the shared example on the current release before every course and tell you what changed.

Usually 9:30 to 12:00 or 2:00 to 4:30. Other times are fine. Full outline, outcomes, and the PDF on the course page.

About your data

About your data

Courses teach on practice files that look like a finance team's real work, so nothing confidential has to leave the building to learn the method. Each person then applies it to one file of their own, under their own organization's policy; the setup guide we send ahead of the course says what that requires, and a sanitized copy is fine. The pattern itself is the protection: the export is a read-only copy, a named person is the approval gate, and nothing posts to the books without that approval. For the grant, your organization deals with the Alberta portal directly; we never hold trainee personal information.
