What AI training for a finance team costs in Alberta, 2026
Published prices for corporate AI training in Calgary, Alberta, and across Canada, gathered September 2026: half days, full days, per-seat courses, and what the grant does to the net cost.
Most providers do not publish a price. This page lists the ones that do, as they appeared in September 2026, so a controller or finance director can size a budget before a single call. Prices are Canadian dollars unless marked; US-dollar prices are converted at about 1.37. Check the provider before quoting any of these; they change.

North American benchmarks for a custom, in-person half day for ten to twenty people cluster between $11,000 and $16,500, with a published range of roughly $4,100 to $20,500. A flat $4,500 for up to twenty sits at the bottom of that band. It is priced to fit a director's signing authority, not to reflect what the market would bear.

What the grant does to the number
For an eligible private-sector Alberta employer, the Canada-Alberta Productivity Grant reimburses 50% of instructor-led training costs, up to $5,000 per trainee per fiscal year and $100,000 per employer. A $4,500 half day for a room of eligible trainees nets to $2,250. The grant is not available to public-sector or publicly funded organizations, owners, C-suite, office and HR managers, or contractors, and the application has to be received before the training starts. Providers must have been in business and delivering training for two years; 1113 Technologies engagements that use the grant are delivered by its sister company, EPM ONE Consulting Ltd., a provider since 2016. Other provinces run their own versions of the Canada Job Grant with different shares and caps.
How to read a quote
- Flat fee or per seat. Flat fees favour full rooms; per-seat favours a team of four. Ask which the quote is, and what the minimum billed is.
- Hours of instruction. A half day is typically 2.5 to 3 hours; a 'day' can be 6 or 8. Compare per hour per person.
- What the team leaves with. A demo, a set of prompts, or a process that runs again. Only the last one changes a month-end.
- The instructor. The grant requires four years of relevant experience in the last ten. Ask who is in the room and what they have run.
- What is not included: travel, materials, follow-up. Ask.
